Release Notes

This beta release of the Oops! Framework contains the source code from Change Set 32323 and ccgame files for windows and the XBox 360.

  • Added code comments on most classes and members of the framework.
  • Added many C# 3.0 Extensions to Microsoft.Xna.Framework classes and structures.
  • Parallel-Split Shadow Maps for Windows and XBOX 360!!! See PssmEffect.
  • Added Broad-phase collision extension. See CollisionSystem.
  • Added CollisionMesh support.
  • Runs on own thread!!!
  • Many other changes.
  • Added Gabage Collection counter.
  • Added ChaseCamera.
  • Added ArcBallCamera.
  • Box of Balls.
  • Constraints.
  • CollisionMesh.
  • Shadows by default.
Known issues
  • Small Jitter with box-box, box-mesh collision. Will attempt to fix for next release.
  • Composite shape support broken. Inertia tensor calculations incorrect. Will attempt to fix for next release.
  • Pssm effect draws whole scene for each split. Will attempt to fix for next release.
  • CollisionTerrain removed for this release. Will return.
