Release Notes

This beta release of the Oops! Framework contains the source code from Change Set 44607 and ccgame files for windows and the XBox 360.

  • Optimized MatrixExtension.Orthonormalize
  • Added delegate creation support in ObjectPool.
  • Hinge Constaint!!!
  • Heightmap Support!!!
  • Fixed collision between oriented CollisionMeshes and CollisionBoxes/CollisionSheres.
  • Made CollisionShape abstract.
  • Made CollisionMeshProxy abstract and created two concrete implementations - ModelCollisionMeshProxy and HeightmapCollisionMeshProxy.
  • Removed dependancy of IViewpointService availability in PhysicsComponent.
  • Decreased font size of menu items.
  • Dropped shapes from higher distance on Composite Shape example.
  • Added boxes to demonstrate HingeConstaints on Constraint example.
  • Default shadows to off.
  • Changed menu item text for easier identification.
  • Added example to demonstrate heightmap collision.

Reviews for this release

I really like this engine, but the physics components more than the rest. The Physics are already multi-threaded and runs pretty fast on XBox 360. The animation and Gamestate managers is pretty useful too.
